++ text extracted from the demo "Guru Meditation" by TSL+NS (1989) ++


Hello world!!!    This is another demo from the marvellous Silents & North Star
co-operation, and this time it was coded by Goofy/TSL!!!     This is the third
demo I've coded for Silents and the first one for TSL^NS...    And the other
credits goes to the following heroes of Sweden...      Graphics was done by
Pepsi/TSL (Logo) and Goofy/TSL (Font and Guru) while the monsterous music was
composed by Blaizer (Groowy stuff, really)    This scroll will contain the
story of my life, from lamer to Great coder.    It started off quite slow when
my friend bought an ZX-81 and showed me the great graphics and sound (Did it
really have sound???  I don't remember)   I became very interested and some
year later (I think it was about 1984/85, my dad bought an ABC 80.    WHOW!!!
What a machine!!!   After some hard work I had done my first programm...
IT'S MOVING!!!    A pixel!!!   yeah.  and I also managed to make a trainer on
the game GLIPP!!!     OK!    But now it wasn't very funny to play with the Z80,
cause I couldn't find any books about Assembler (What about being a lamer???)
Then one day, a friend had bought a C64!!!   I wnet to see him and my eyes fell
out of my head.   Colors!   Sprites!   Urrrk!   I WANT TO HAVE A C64, DAD,
PLEASE!!!!     Hm, I'll think about it..    Time went on and I coded nice
flash-screns and spritemovers on my friends C64.  I did never come to that
point that I lernt how to make a scroll, but what the heck, I was 14 years old
and he was as lame as I.      Then a friend of mine bought an Amiga 1000.
Heaven was near...   Now I was taking my bike for a 2 mile-ride, to play a
couple of hours on the Amiga.  And then home again...     I wished to have an
Amiga 500 for X-Mas, but you know, parents...     My friend with the C64 had
got an Amiga 500, I was never at home anymore...    We hadn't got seka yet, but
we had Test-Drive!!!   Yeah, Cool, heavy    And after one week, BOORING!!!
Then one day I came home from my friend, and saw...    Yeah!!!   My dad had
bought an Amiga 2000 with monitor and 30 Maxell disks!!!   The whole thing felt
unreal in about a week, until I understanded that I was awake..     Then My
friend and I made up a group that we called The Ultimate Sector...    That was
a great name and we both started to code in the SEKA.   And in April 1988 (I
was going to become 15 years old the next week) i releaed my first demo on the
Amiga. (And on any computer.)   Now our team concisted of me (I had started to
call myself Goofy some weeks earlier), my friend (Clomax) and a graphics guy
called Trinty.    We were all visiting the Silents meeting in Alvesta (April
1988) where a group called Triumph asked me to join them, but I didn't think it
would have lifted me up very high..   I learned more and more...    In May or
something, I released my second demo(?) no, it was just an intro.    Then I was
on a lame-meeting in Rottne, there we got two new members.  One swapper called
Fanzy, and one graphic guy, called Skykid (He had left Thundercats to join
us!!!)   But the joy was even greater when Skykid called and asked if we all
wanted to join a new group, formed from the wrecks of Thundercats and Super
Swap Sweden.  Of course we wanted, and the new group was called HORIZON!!!
(Still living)   Now I had learnt to code quite good, so I released one more
demo on a meeting in Enkoping Augusti 1988.  In the name of Horizon..    Then
we were going to arrange a meeting together with Silents in Alvesta (November
1988)    The second day of the meeting I joined Silents and changed the logo in
my new demo.   And on this line I've continued.   Some weeks ago we went into
this co-operation with Nort-Star, and I think we're biggest in Sweden right
now.   Well, that was the story of how I became a member of the great Silents!!!
